The story of the place
The building on the south side of the former Great Market Square was conceived as a department store for the Kurlander és Ullman company, which bought the plot in 1911; the plans were drawn up in Berlin and Vienna. Oradea Heritage attributes the design to the Oradea architect Ferenc Löbl (1913); restoration of the façade began in August 2022.
