On local signs: Casa Darvas–La Roche (Muzeul Art Nouveau)
Romania’s first Art Nouveau museum, housed in a villa from 1909, presents the interior of a bourgeois home of the Belle Époque.

The villa was designed by the brothers József and László Vágó and dates from 1909; it is notable for the exposed concrete panels on its façade. It belonged to the industrialist Imre Darvas, a partner of the Swiss banker Alfred La Roche; now restored, it houses Romania’s first Art Nouveau museum, with “La Belle Époque” bourgeois interiors.
