The story of the place
Built in 1904–1905 to designs by Kálmán Rimanóczy Jr. in the style of the Munich Secession, the palace was the first building in Oradea with ribbed reinforced-concrete slabs (Hennebique system), with the structure designed by Professor Szilárd Zielinszky. The rounded, domed corner carries the central motif: a woman’s head emerging from a thicket of leaves and flowers.
