The story of the place
The building was erected in 1902–1903 to plans by the architect Kálmán Rimanóczy Jr., in an eclectic style with a predominantly neoclassical/neo-Renaissance character. It has a U-shaped plan with three inner courtyards, and on the side facing the Crișul Repede rises the clock tower, almost 50 m high.
