On local signs: Teatrul Regina Maria
The theatre designed by the Viennese architects Fellner & Helmer dominates Ferdinand Square; an evening performance concludes the day in style.

The theatre building was designed by the Viennese firm Fellner & Helmer and built in 1899–1900, with construction led by Kálmán Rimanóczy Jr., Vilmos Rendes and József Guttmann. The neoclassical façade has neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque elements; it is home to the Queen Marie Theatre and the Szigligeti Theatre.
